The refund policy fits on a postcard. Reply to your Creem receipt within 7 days and we send the money back, usually the same business day. No exit survey, no 'wait don't go' email, no friction. Below is the long version, but the short version really is the whole story.
1. The rule
Every paid plan, including the Lifetime Founders edition, comes with a 7-day money-back guarantee. If you decide HumanGPT is not for you within 7 days of purchase, reply to your Creem receipt with one sentence saying you want a refund. We process it the same business day, almost always within a few hours.
2. What counts as eligible
- Pro monthly: 7 days from the day of purchase or any subsequent renewal.
- Pro annual: 7 days from the day of purchase.
- Lifetime Founders edition: 7 days from the day of purchase.
- Add-on word packs: 7 days from purchase, full refund if no words have been used. Pro-rated refund if some words have been used.
3. How to ask
There is one way and it always works: reply to the Creem receipt that landed in your inbox the moment you paid. The reply goes to a real inbox. A real person answers. Your refund goes back to the original payment method via Creem, which usually means 3 to 10 business days for the funds to actually appear in your bank or card statement (that part is on your bank, not us).
4. After the 7 days
After day 7, refunds are at our discretion and we evaluate case by case. We are reasonable. If our service genuinely failed (significant downtime, a bug that ate your output, a billing mistake), we will still refund you, period. If you simply changed your mind and forgot to ask within the window, we'll usually still help, but we are not promising it.
5. What is NOT refundable
- Charges where we have evidence of fraud, chargebacks filed without first asking us, or terms-of-service violations.
- Refund requests that arrive more than 30 days after the original purchase, with no exceptional circumstance.
- Word allowances that have already been fully consumed and used by the requester before the refund request.
6. Founders edition specifics
The Founders edition is a one-time $199 payment for a lifetime seat. The 7-day refund applies the same as any other plan. After the 7 days, your seat is permanent. If we ever wind down HumanGPT entirely (we don't plan to, but in the unlikely event), Founders are notified at least 90 days in advance and receive a pro-rated refund based on time elapsed since purchase. This pro-rata clause is also in the Terms.
7. Chargebacks
Please don't go straight to a chargeback. Reply to your receipt first. We've never refused a legitimate refund request. Chargebacks cost us extra fees and end up putting our payment processor relationship at risk for everyone. If we missed your refund email and you go to a chargeback, we'll honor it, but a quick email saves us both time.
8. EU and UK consumers
Under EU and UK consumer law, you have a 14-day right to cancel digital services unless you waived that right when starting to use the service. By using HumanGPT before the 7-day window expires, you confirm you want immediate access and waive the 14-day cancellation right. You still get our 7-day refund, which exceeds what is statutorily required for already-consumed digital services.
