1. The agreement

By using humangpt.io, the HumanGPT API, or any service operated by Outline Technologies under the HumanGPT brand, you agree to these terms. If you don't, please don't use the service. These terms apply whether you are on the free tier, the Pro plan, or the Lifetime Founders edition.

2. The service

HumanGPT rewrites text you submit so it reads more like writing produced by a human and less like writing produced by a large language model. We also offer a built-in detection check that reports whether the rewritten text would likely be flagged by major AI-detection tools. Both services are best-effort. We do not guarantee any specific bypass rate or detection score on any specific submission.

3. What you may use HumanGPT for

You may use HumanGPT to humanize content you have the right to submit. This includes your own AI drafts, your own writing you want polished, content you've licensed, and content for which you have the author's permission. You may use the output for any lawful purpose, including commercial purposes, without owing us royalties.

4. What you may not use HumanGPT for

• Content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.
• Content that violates any applicable law, including hate speech laws, fraud laws, or defamation laws in your jurisdiction.
• Generating content intended to mislead in legally regulated contexts, such as fake medical advice, fake legal advice, fake financial advice, or impersonation of real people.
• Bulk-scraping or reverse-engineering the service. The API exists for that.
• Reselling HumanGPT output as a competing humanizer service.

5. Free tier and rate limits

The free tier provides 200 humanizer words per 24-hour rolling window per browser session, plus a small allowance for the AI detector. We may adjust these limits over time. Significant decreases will be announced 30 days in advance via email and the homepage. We may also temporarily reduce limits during traffic spikes to keep the service available for everyone.

6. Paid plans, billing, and Founders edition

Pro is $10 per month, billed by Creem, cancellable at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. The Founders edition is a one-time payment of $199 for one of 100 lifetime seats. 'Lifetime' means as long as HumanGPT operates as a service. If we shut HumanGPT down, all Founders are notified at least 90 days in advance and we refund a pro-rated amount based on time elapsed since purchase.

7. Refunds

Refund terms are detailed on the Refund page. The short version: 7-day refund on every paid plan, no questions asked, just reply to your receipt.

8. Your content, your rights

You retain ownership of every piece of text you submit and every piece of text we return. We do not claim a license, copyright interest, or any ownership over your content. We do not train models on your content. We do not sell it. We do not share it with anyone except the upstream API provider strictly required to process the request (currently Google for the humanizer engine).

9. Limitation of liability

HumanGPT is provided 'as is.' To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is capped at the greater of (a) the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD 100.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Outline Technologies and HumanGPT against claims arising from your misuse of the service, content you submit that violates these terms, or your violation of any third-party rights. We agree to indemnify you against claims arising from our infringement of your rights or our gross negligence.

11. Termination

You may stop using HumanGPT at any time. We may terminate your access if you violate these terms (we will email you first when feasible). Upon termination, paid users are pro-rated refunds for the unused portion of their billing period; Founders are not affected by ordinary policy violations and would only be terminated for severe abuse, in which case the original payment is refunded in full.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes are resolved by good-faith email negotiation first, then by binding arbitration if that fails. You retain the right to bring a claim in your local small-claims court if applicable.

13. Changes to these terms

Material changes are announced 30 days in advance via email and on the homepage. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you don't agree, cancel before the effective date and we will refund any unused billing period.
